You may see some negative reviews. We leave them up.

Most people never write a review. Research from U.S. universities finds that people with a strong experience — especially a bad one — are much more likely to post than people who are quietly satisfied.¹² The written list is not a random sample of everyone using the app, which is why a handful of one-star comments can look louder than they are.³

ThinLine Radio is a client, not a radio feed. It connects to scanner servers that independent operators run. If a county goes quiet, a login fails on a specific server, or audio quality drops, that is almost always the operator’s feed — not a broken app. A review about “no radio traffic” in a given county is about that operator’s coverage, recorder, or server. The app does not generate scanner audio. A one-star rating that just says “doesn’t work” or “no traffic” usually means the listener never emailed us, or expected the app to supply radio audio on its own.

We still publish those reviews. If something is actually wrong with the app, write [email protected] or ping us on Discord first. We answer, and we would rather fix it than read about it after the fact.
